Who have we helped?Mint- Grey warmblood gelding who needed a new home. He had his vet and farrier care brought up to date, his hind foot was x-rayed to make sure he could still be ridden comfortably and offered some refresher training. He found his new great partner!
Gem- a chestnut thoroughbred mare who needed a home. She had her vet and farrier care brought up to date, treated for a cough, and offered supplements to build a topline that had weakened over the years of being a broodmare and pasture pal. She formed a bond with Kahlan and will continue to reside here forever. Poppy- a grey donkey Jenny purchased at an auction. Poppy received vet care, her teeth were very bad. Her vaccines and deworming were brought up to date. After getting her teeth in better shape, she was no longer such a quiet donkey! She began to bray! She also showed us she may not have had the best treatment over the years. Vet aged her in her 20's. After months of gaining her trust, we were finally able to handle her feet and begin fixing them to make her more comfortable. Trite- a blue roan mini mare purchased at auction. She walked through the auction ring very tenderfoot and sore. She is a sweet and sassy lady who had her long hives trimmed very short for the auction, and have required extensive correctional trimming to get them to grow properly. She walked sore on hard ground for months and months, but angles are much better now and she is a much happier pony. Her vetting was also brought up to date a few days after she arrived. She is the very best companion to both Poppy and a pony that has been in the family for over 20 years, so she will have a home with us! |
